Hawaiian Elopement

Here comes the story of the Hurricane…

Jayde and Jamie’s Hawaiian elopement was turned upside down by Hurricane Lane, a Category 5 storm that was predicted to make landfall on their wedding day.

It was all touch and go, with the elopement subject to a last minute venue change due to the approaching storm. On the night before, they received a call to say that their ceremony and reception were being moved from the other side of the island to the Hilton, where they were staying.

Despite the last minute changes and looming black wall of clouds stretched across the horizon, Jayde and Jamie were completely undaunted by the experience. It was as if they were the eye of the storm, with chaos and uncertainty spinning around their calm optimism. As long as they got hitched, nothing else really mattered. Fortunately after all the commotion, the storm weakened and didn’t make landfall.

The day was punctuated by wedding bells, emergency sirens, a little luck with the rain, and a whole lotta love.

They even made the 6 o’clock news.
